What should I wear to class?
Wear casual clothing that you can move in. We recommend tennis shoes or similar close-toed shoes (no flip flops, sandals, heels, etc.). For outdoor classes, please dress for the weather.

Do you teach martial arts
in your defense classes?

No. We do not teach any martial arts. 
Our defensive techniques are
easy-to-learn and they work.

How "physical" are the classes?
Our intro and Level One Simply Safer Self Defense Classes involve both lecture and technique practice. The techniques are easy to learn and do not involve any "wrestling" or floor work.
You will remain on your feet.

Do I need to bring anything?
All Classes:
We recommend bringing a water bottle or other hydrating liquid.
(No alcohol)

Defensive Tools Classes: Knives, kubotans and/or pens that you carry for self defense.
Firearm Classes: Firearm (if applicable), ammo and possibly a lunch. Check our class schedule for specifics on what to bring.

Do I need any
previous experience?

No previous experience is needed for our Condensed (aka First Step) and Level One classes.

How do I sign up for a class?

Can I take Level Two (advanced) Classes without taking
Level One Classes?

Typically, no. However, we may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Contact us to see if you qualify.

Can you hold classes at my work site,club, church, etc.?
Yes we can. Please
contact us
with your request.
We can work with you to set this up.

Will there be any items for sale
at your classes?

Yes. We will have pepper spray and kubatons for sale at reasonable prices. We may have other various
defensive tools available,
depending on our inventory.
